Why Use A Laser Sight on a SHOTGUN? Shotguns are employed for numerous different uses by Tactical Police and Specialized Military Units worldwide. Shotguns are very versatile weapons and for that reason are favored by entry teams. Buckshot rounds may be used for several different purposes. Shotgun uses include using special breaching rounds to breach door hinges and locks, gas rounds to launch tear gas into buildings or rooms, and the use of flares during nighttime operations. Shotguns with pistol grips (because of their maneuverability through hallways and tight enclosed spaces) are generally preferred for home protection due to the intimidating sound of the pump action and because you are less likely to injure someone other than the intended target. Rifles and larger pistols penetrate walls and doors and may travel long distances in the event you shoot at an attacker and miss. Shotguns generally do not. The DEFENDER helps insure that you do not miss by providing a solid laser dot on the target, while providing additional illumination by harnessing some of the lasers powerful intense beam and spreading it on and around the targeted area. It is not so intense as to intefere with your adjusted night-vision eyesight. For those Tactical Teams or individuals who choose to employ the DEFENDER, they will find it to be a compact and lightweight accessory that is very handy in lowlight situations where minimal lighting is required for the proper conduct of the tactical operation. |
